Vintage hard wood Japanese room divider screen made in the 1970s or 1980s probably, though I fully admit it could actually be a fair bit later. The timber is quite elm like. Two chunky feet at the base; large veneered ply panel with bold pierced design of willow branches, maybe; I could be botanically mistaken. The top is a long cylindrical bar with classically oriental sloped cut ends. The finish is a dark stained varnish. Condition is good structurally: it's very solid; cosmetically there are various bumps and scrapes to the finish, a bit more on one side (see pics). It's not too bad though. Could be completely stripped to the lighter timber below but that's a you-job not a me-job.. Dimensions: 140cm x 35cm x 111cm high
